Announcing a New Client – Saving Memories Forever

Saving Memories Forever

I am pleased to announce my affiliation with the makers of an exciting new product for the genealogy market – Saving Memories Forever™.

Saving Memories Forever provides a new online system to create and preserve family memories through audio recordings. Each subscriber has a dedicated area on the site to upload and manage their recordings. Available through the iTunes store, the new app is free and is a seamless connection between the website and recording process. Users with any computer can record, save, and upload their recorded stories with or without the app. For additional information visit http://www.SavingMemoriesForever.com.

I will be providing Saving Memories Forever with the high-quality analysis, evaluation, marketing, social media and business development services which I provide specifically for the genealogy and family history community of businesses and non-profit organizations.

Harvey and Jane Baker are the founders and developers of Saving Memories Forever. They have three grown children who, over the years, have asked them lots of questions about their family history. Click here to learn more about the Bakers and their vision for capturing and preserving family stories.

I am excited to share the Saving Memories Forever products and services with the genealogy community . . . Stay tuned!

I’m On The FGS Voice Team

FGS Voice

Just announced today, I will be a contributing author at the FGS Voice blog which contains news from the Federation of Genealogical Societies.  Beside being the National Publicity Chair for the FGS 2011 conferences – Pathways to the Heartland – in Springfield, IL in September 2011, I am now assisting FGS with its overall marketing efforts.

If you don’t already follow the FGS Voice blog, I urge you to bookmark it, favorite it or subscribe to it! I have lots of new posts coming out about marketing and technology for genealogical societies and you won’t want to miss out on the discussions!

Genealogical Societies – Extend Your Brand at Family Search Wiki

Family Search Adopt-A-Wiki Page

Heads up to genealogical societies: Family Search through its Adopt-A-Wiki-Page program, is offering a unique opportunity to extend your visibility and branding.

The program allows your organization to “sponsor” a page or set of pages on the Family Search Wiki and once your sponsorship is approved, a graphic with a link to your society’s website or blog appears:

ISGS Sponsored Family Search Wiki Pages

So what’s the catch? There is none.  Just like adopting a highway, you commit to doing some periodical “housecleaning” which means your society will monitor your sponsored pages, make certain the content is relevant to the subject matter and accurate, and make edits as needed.

This sponsorship is available on a first-come, first-served basis so you need to “stake out” your pages NOW.  There can only be one sponsor per page so go to Family Search Wiki, select the pages relevant to your genealogical society, and then follow the procedure at the Adopt-A-Wiki-Page help page.
