I’ve Joined the 1940 Census Community Project Team

1940 Census Community Project

A quick note: I’ve signed on as a consultant for the 1940 Census Community Project and will be working with the great folks at FamilySearch on various initiatives, including:

  • publicity and raising awareness (especially among the non-genealogy public) about the release of the 1940 US Census images
  • recruiting both individuals and societies to participate in the indexing of the 1940 US Census

If you haven’t already joined this community effort, please visit http://the1940census.com and get ready for 9:00 am Eastern, April 2, 2012 when the images are released!
